Why Iras Lab
What You Get That You Won't Find Elsewhere
Most AI advisory services are built for product teams. Iras Lab is built for quality engineers — the people who live inside ISO 9001, Halal audit cycles, and CAPA documentation.

Six Things QC Teams Gain with Iras Lab
Engineer Authority Stays Intact
AI reads and summarises. Your inspectors conclude. No workflow removes the engineer from the decision path.
CAPA Drafting Time Reduced
First-pass CAPA memo drafts are produced from your existing inspection records, giving engineers a starting point rather than a blank page.
Standards-Safe Integration
Every recommendation is reviewed for ISO 9001 and JAKIM Halal Manual compatibility before delivery. We do not put your certifications at risk.
Cross-Batch Pattern Visibility
AI reading across batches surfaces recurring non-conformance patterns that manual review can miss when records are handled individually.
Audit-Ready Documentation
Written engagement briefs and usage policies are formatted for your management review files and available as audit evidence on request.
Transparent, Fixed Pricing
Engagements are priced upfront in Ringgit. No per-seat licences, no usage fees, no subscription tiers to navigate.
Expertise
QC-Specific Knowledge, Not General AI Advice
Iras Lab's advisory team has backgrounds in QC engineering, ISO 9001 internal auditing, and Halal certification documentation. We read CAPA records, non-conformance logs, and LIMS batch reports the same way your senior inspectors do — with an understanding of what the standards expect to see.
This means we can identify where an AI summarisation tool would help, and where it would create ambiguity that an auditor would later question. That distinction matters more in quality control than in almost any other field.
- Team experience spans food manufacturing, medical device supply chain, and precision components
- Internal auditing backgrounds ensure awareness of what documentation trails require
- Halal Manual specialist on every standards review
- Based in Penang with direct familiarity with regional manufacturing audit expectations
Technology Approach
Read-Only, Supervised, and Documented
We do not deploy AI tools that write to your systems. Integration in the Pilot engagement is read-only, and every AI output is reviewed by an engineer before it enters your records. During the six-week supervised period, we monitor AI behaviour for scope drift and adjust the usage policy accordingly.
Technology without documentation is a compliance risk. All AI usage in our engagements is described in written policies that your team can hand to an auditor without hesitation.
- LIMS and QMS integration via read-only API connection
- No AI output enters your records without engineer confirmation
- Usage policy delivered in plain language, not technical specifications
- Six weeks of supervised monitoring before handover
Service Model
We Work at the Pace of Your Team, Not a Sales Cycle
Each engagement begins with a conversation, not a proposal deck. We spend time with your QC manager and senior inspector before recommending anything. The Workflow Reading Review is explicitly designed as a low-pressure starting point — if the brief concludes that AI is not yet the right fit, that is a useful finding, not a failed sale.
Quarterly Stewardship clients have the option to pause between periods if their team needs time to consolidate. We bill in advance per quarter, not annually, so there are no long-term commitments that become awkward to exit.
- Engagements begin with listening, not presenting
- Written briefs addressed to your head of quality, not to your IT team
- No obligation beyond each discrete engagement scope
- Site visits available across Penang and the Klang Valley
Value
Fixed Scope, Clear Pricing, No Surprises
All three Iras Lab services are priced in Malaysian Ringgit with fixed fees. The Workflow Reading Review at RM 1,090 is a complete engagement — not a loss-leader designed to upsell. The Pilot at RM 4,950 includes inspector training and the usage policy. The Quarterly Stewardship at RM 4,640 per quarter covers all output sampling, briefs, and the yearly management summary.
There are no per-seat licences, no platform subscriptions, and no retainer structures that quietly accumulate.

What Sets Us Apart
Distinctive Features of How Iras Lab Works
Brief-First Delivery Model
Every engagement ends with a written brief, not a slide deck or a verbal debrief. The brief is addressed to your head of quality and written to be read by engineers, not by software teams. This is unusual in AI advisory work — and it makes the difference when your findings need to be acted on six months later.
Scope Boundary Auditing
In Quarterly Stewardship, we don't just confirm that AI is running. We audit whether it is staying within the boundaries that were agreed at the start of the Pilot. Scope drift is a real risk in AI reading tools, and it is not something that self-monitoring catches reliably.
Inspector Training Included in Pilot
The two inspectors trained in the Pilot engagement are trained to evaluate AI output critically — not just to operate the tool. They learn what good AI summaries of inspection records look like, and what warning signs suggest the tool is outside its competence boundary.
Pause Option in Stewardship
Quarterly Stewardship engagements can be paused between periods if your team is going through a certification audit, a staff transition, or a production period that doesn't allow time for advisory work. This option is not common in retainer-model services.
